The network operation manager can use this iView to create and process work orders and to assign a technician. The iView has been adapted for the work order and only contains the fields required to create objects. The iView is supplied with the Business Package for Network Operation Manager (Telecommunications), but is not incorporated in the Network Operation Manager (Telecommunications) role as a default, since the functions for work orders are not part of malfunction-related maintenance in the first instance. You can incorporate the iView using object-based navigation (OBN) or a portal event if necessary. The user can use OBN to navigate to the following services from the iView:
-
Change Order
-
Display Employee
Prerequisites
-
You have maintained the control key in the work center or defined a standard value in Customizing.
-
If a business area is required, you have recorded this in the functional location and the equipment.
Customizing Settings
Configuration
If parameters are to be transferred when the service is accessed (see Integration of External Systems) or the user clicks the Check
button or saves, the system makes entries in all fields that can be derived from the values entered.
Order
You can only select order types that do not contain the Immediate Order planning indicator.
Order Operation
The service can only create one operation for each order. The Assign Technician service, which can be accessed using a button or the F4 Help, is used to assign a technician to the operation. The Business Add-In (BAdI) IST_NLM_SE_ASSIGN_TECH
is used to determine the technician. If you have not activated a customer-specific implementation, the Human Resources (HR) application component is used to determine all available technicians for the work center selected for the planned order start (date and time). If an entry has been made in the Material
field, the system requests the component during order creation.
Transfer Parameters
The following parameters can be transferred when the iView is accessed via OBN or a portal event:
Parameters: | Explanation |
---|---|
| Equipment Key |
| Order Type |
| Order Priority |
| Activity for Service
The system determines the iView dynamically according to these parameters.
|
| All fields in the format ¬ification=<fieldname1>=<value1>;<fieldname2>=... |
| All fields in the BAPI structure |
| All fields in the BAPI structure |
| All fields in the BAPI structure |
Portal Event: IST_NLM_SE_CREATE_ORDER
Namespace: com.sap.pct.erp.ist
Note
If the value 'E' is transferred to the parameter ACTION
, the system accesses the Create Emergency Repair Order service instead of this service. If the PRIORITY
parameter is transferred without also specifying the ORDER_TYPE
parameter, the priority value is lost, since possible priorities are recorded in the order type.
End of the note.
Personalization
The user can personalize the iView in the iViews header using the Personalization
link. The application the uses the personalized values if no external values are transferred and no value was entered on the interface. The user can personalize the following fields:
-
Order Type
The user must specify a notification type that is suitable for the order type. The notification type for a specific order type is recorded in Customizing.
-
P
— Order Priority -
Control Key
The control key is a required field for creating an order. It does not exist as an interface field. It is derived from the work center master data. If it is not recorded in this master data, the system uses a standard value from Customizing.
-
Business Area
You can define whether the business area is to be a required field for creating an order (business area requirement) in Customizing. The business area does not appear as an interface field either and is also derived from the equipment or functional location master data. If it is not recorded in this master data, you can use a standard value.
The personalization settings are overwritten by the transfer parameters if entries have been made in the corresponding fields. If you have changed the personalization, the settings first become effective the next time the service is accessed. More Information
